I stumbled upon a Christian rock band a few years ago. I had no clue what they were really about, but the guitar player from my church had won a contest to become their new guitar player. Long story short there, their guitar player, Andrew Welch, came back to the band. So, my friend got to play a concert with them instead. Pretty considerate of them.
Anyway, I started listening to this group and really got into their music. One of the first songs I loved is called The Art of Breaking talking about how you're not to kill what is not your creation, because any living creation is from the one true God. The Creator of all life.
From there, I bought and downloaded a vast majority of their songs including Welcome to the Masquerade, Oxygen, The End Is Where We Begin, Fly on the Wall, Honest, Lifeline, and so many more.

TFK is a devoted, strong, band of Christians who devote their lives to giving glory to God through their intensive music. I appreciate their style in ways that I cannot express, because let's face it, God is not just a cuddly teddy bear or a genie there for your every beck and call. He is a jealous, just, and holy God. He is a Lion with claws to defend his children who walk through lives that are also intense and as hard core as the music that TFK produces.
On a more personal note, Trevor McNevan's vocals and the unbelievable skills of the musicians backing him up have gotten me through some hard life situations. Their lyrics have pounded in my head through many tears and screams, yet they gave me hope and tuned my heart back to the voice of my Father. That is why I encourage anyone and everyone to listen to them. They have inspired me, and I believe they can touch the souls of so many more people searching for the Way.
