Worldly Hate

They support in full

With thumbs raised up

Until I start acting like Him

Then things get really screwed up

Turn their backs and glare

Call me a Bible Thumper

But I'd rather be called that any day

Than referred to as some Pill Popper

I look average

Just like any teen

But how I carry myself

Is what's being noticed and seen

I do good for God

Follow His laws

The worldly ones hate it

Come at me with snapping jaws

Cut that nonsense!

I'm gonna stand tall

Throw me in the open

You can watch I won't fall

Let them look

Wonder what's new or odd

They'll see the Light inside me

They'll meet my friend, God

I know they hate me

Think me insane

But that's okay because for me

To live is Christ and to die is gain
